Zoning Hearing – October 3, 2019

The Zoning Hearing Board of Straban Township will hold a public meeting to conduct a zoning hearing on Thursday, October 3, 2019 commencing at 7:00 p.m. at the Straban Township Municipal Building, 1745 Granite Station Road, Gettysburg, PA, to consider the following application:
A Zoning Hearing Application, dated August 2, 2019 and filed on August 5, 2019 by Lobar Properties, LLC, relative to certain real property owned by Agricultural Commodities, Incorporated, described by the Applicant as Lot 1 of real property located at 1750 Granite Station Road, Gettysburg, Straban Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania (a portion of certain real property identified by Adams County Tax Parcel ID No. 38H11-0036F–000). The real property, which is the subject of the zoning hearing, is zoned and located within an Economic Development – Intense District (EC-2), as established by the Straban Township Zoning Ordinance. The subject real property is being proposed for future development, construction and use as a State Police Station. The Applicant is requesting the grant of a special exception pursuant to section 140-13.B.(1) and section 140-17.D. of the Zoning Ordinance for an outdoor trap, skeet, rifle, pistol or archery range (private or municipal). The Applicant is also seeking variance relief from section 140-13.D.(4) of the Zoning Ordinance relative to the requirement that no parking is permitted to be placed between the plane of any primary facade of a principal building and the road right-of-way on nonresidential lots located in the EC-2 Zoning District.
