Notice of Public Hearing

The Straban Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 4, 2021, 6:45 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 1745 Granite Station Road, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to receive comments on the proposed Ordinance.  The Straban Township Board of Supervisors may adopt the proposed amendments to the Ordinance on Monday, October 4, 2021, 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 1745 Granite Station Road, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to wit:
AN ORDINANCE OF STRABAN TOWNSHIP, ADAMS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF STRABAN, BY AMENDING VARIOUS PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 140, ENTITLED “ZONING”, TO PROVIDE FOR, AMONG OTHER THINGS, DEFINITIONAL AMENDMENTS, ADDITIONAL REGULATORY CRITERIA FOR SOLAR ELECTRIC FACILITIES, HELIPORTS AND HELISTOPS/HELIPADS, AND MULTI-FAMILY DWELLINGS
 SECTION 1. This section adds the definition for Architectural Break.
SECTION 2: This section amends the definition for Dwelling Unit Types including: Apartment Unit, Multi-Family Dwelling, Single-Family Attached (Townhouse), Single-Family Detached Dwellings, Single-Family Semidetached Dwellings (Duplex), and Two-Family Dwelling.
SECTION 3: This section removes the definition for Green and adds the definition for Green Space.
SECTION 4: This section amends the definition for Heliport.
SECTION 5: This section removes the definition for Helistop and adds the definition for Helistop/Helipad.
SECTION 6: This section amends the definition of Land Development.
SECTION 7: This section amends the definition of Open Space, Usable.
SECTION 8:  This section amends the definition of Residential Use.
SECTION 9:  This section removes Helistop from allowed uses in R-R District.
SECTION 10:  This section removes Stacked townhouse units and Multiplex from permitted uses in the R-2 District.
SECTION 11: This section removes all references to Multiplex in Table 140-9-2.
SECTION 12:  This section removes Stacked townhouse units and Multiplex from permitted uses in the MU-1 District.
SECTION 13:  This section removes the reference to Multiplex in Table 140-10-2.
SECTION 14:  This section removes Stacked townhouse units and Multiplex from permitted uses in the MU-2 District.
SECTION 15: This section removes the reference to Multiplex in Table 140-11-2
SECTION 16: This section amends Table 140-12-1 by replacing Multiplex with Multi-Family Dwelling.
SECTION 17: This section adds Heliport and Helistop/Helipad as allowed uses by special exception in the EC-2 District.
SECTION 18: This section amends the Use Regulations under Dwelling Unit Requirements.
SECTION 19: This section amends Section 140-21(D). Solar Electric Facility.
SECTION 20: This section amends Section 140-22. Transportation Uses.
SECTION 21: Repealer.
SECTION 22Savings Clause. 
SECTION 23Severability.
SECTION 24Effective Date.
This ordinance shall become effective in accordance with law.
